Sáng ngày 22/05/2026, Trường Đại học Kinh tế – Kỹ thuật Bình Dương (BETU) phối hợp cùng Institute of Languages (Viện ngôn ngữ) UCSI University tổ chức Seminar quốc tế với chủ đề “Sustainable Language Education In The Age Of Ai - Giáo dục ngôn ngữ bền vững trong kỷ nguyên trí tuệ nhân tạo”, nhằm thúc đẩy kết nối học thuật quốc tế, trao đổi tri thức và mở rộng cơ hội hợp tác trong giảng dạy, nghiên cứu giữa hai đơn vị.
Tham dự chương trình có PGS.TS. Phùng Thái Minh Trang – Phó Hiệu trưởng Nhà trường; Professor. Dr. Zuraidah Bt Mohd Don Director of Institute of Languages; Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Khodi Institute of Languages - UCSI University; cùng lãnh đạo các đơn vị, giảng viên và đông đảo sinh viên BETU.
Phát biểu tại chương trình, PGS.TS. Phùng Thái Minh Trang nhấn mạnh ý nghĩa của việc tăng cường hợp tác học thuật quốc tế trong bối cảnh giáo dục đang có nhiều chuyển biến mạnh mẽ dưới tác động của trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI). Đây cũng là cơ hội để giảng viên và sinh viên tiếp cận thêm các xu hướng mới trong giảng dạy, học tập và nghiên cứu ngôn ngữ hiện đại, đồng thời Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Khodi Institute of Languages cũng bày tỏ mạnh mẽ về sự hợp tác nghiên cứu thêm về AI trong giáo dục ngôn ngữ trong tương lai giữa hai đơn vị.
Tại seminar, các diễn giả đã trình bày nhiều chuyên đề xoay quanh giáo dục ngôn ngữ và ứng dụng AI trong đào tạo. Professor Dr. Zuraidah Bt Mohd Don – Director, Institute of Languages, UCSI University trình bày chuyên đề “AI and Discourse Analysis: Exploring the Potential of AI Talk as Data” (Trí tuệ nhân tạo và Phân tích diễn ngôn: Khai thác tiềm năng dùng lời thoại của AI làm dữ liệu nghiên cứu). Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Khodi chia sẻ về “AI in Assessment and Testing: Challenges, Opportunities, and New Directions” (Trí tuệ nhân tạo trong Đánh giá và Kiểm tra: Thách thức, Cơ hội và Những hướng đi mới).
Về phía BETU University, Ms. Amanda (M.A. in Education) mang đến góc nhìn về việc cân bằng giữa công nghệ và yếu tố con người trong học tập ngôn ngữ ở giáo dục đại học; ThS. Lý Gia Huy - Giảng viên Khoa Đại cương chia sẻ các ứng dụng công nghệ trong giảng dạy và học tập ngoại ngữ.
Seminar là dịp để giảng viên, sinh viên giao lưu học thuật, cập nhật xu hướng giáo dục hiện đại và tiếp cận thêm nhiều kinh nghiệm thực tiễn trong lĩnh vực ngôn ngữ. Qua đó, BETU tiếp tục khẳng định định hướng đổi mới đào tạo, phát triển môi trường học tập hiện đại và tăng cường hội nhập quốc tế.

BETU HOSTS INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON SUSTAINABLE LANGUAGE EDUCATION IN THE AI ERA
On May 22, 2026, Binh Duong Economics and Technology University (BETU), in collaboration with the Institute of Languages at UCSI University, hosted an international seminar titled “Sustainable Language Education in the Age of AI.” The event aimed to enhance international academic linkages, facilitate knowledge exchange, and expand bilateral cooperation in teaching and research.
The seminar was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thai Minh Trang (Vice President of BETU University), Prof. Dr. Zuraidah Bt Mohd Don (Director of the Institute of Languages, UCSI University), Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Khodi (Institute of Languages, UCSI University), alongside BETU department heads, faculty, and students.
In her opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thai Minh Trang emphasized the importance of international academic collaboration amid AI-driven educational transformations, noting it as a valuable opportunity for faculty and students to adapt to modern linguistic trends. Echoing this sentiment, Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Khodi expressed a strong commitment to future joint research on AI in language education between the two institutions.
The seminar featured highly specialized presentations focusing on the integration of AI in language training. Prof. Dr. Zuraidah Bt Mohd Don opened the session by presenting “AI and Discourse Analysis: Exploring the Potential of AI Talk as Data,” followed by Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Khodi, who discussed “AI in Assessment and Testing: Challenges, Opportunities, and New Directions.” Representing the host institution, Ms. Amanda offered valuable perspectives on balancing technology and human elements in higher education language learning, while Mr. Ly Gia Huy concluded the session by demonstrating practical technological applications in foreign language instruction.
